My Role —

Installation Design

Unseen Vision — Table is an interactive installation and a poster series that is tied with Unseen Vision. Through a 3D landscape, Arduino, and Processing programming, it transfers tactile sensation into a visual story. As the viewer explores the hidden landscape through touch, stories about three blind artists and their perspective of visual beauty are portrayed on the table.

The System

The installation is composed of three parts. First, the projected surface displays visual information to the audience. Second, there is a 3D landscape that is hidden underneath the projected surface. This 3D landscape is made of clay. Finally, the projector is mounted above the table. When a user touches a specific area of the landscape, it triggers visuals that are tied to that particular region.
